Description

Larry Fletcher, USS ORLECK sailor (1956-57) was a casualty in the war to save USS ORLECK DD 886 as a historic museum ship.  Larry is from Ft. Worth, Texas and came as a volunteer to strip the USS BARRY DD 933 for the benefit of USS ORLECK DD 886 museum.  It was a very successful trip and much material was obtained but in the process Larry fell and broke his hip, resulting in a need for emergency surgery and a partial hip replacement.  He is in a Washington Hospital recovering and working with physical therapists.  He of course is delayed in the return home and has and will incur costs over and above his insurance.  You can help your shipmate Larry by making a donation and sending it to Bob Orleck.  You are being asked to fill out the form here and mail a check made payable to Larry Fletcher sending it to our Association and Bob will see that Larry receives the money.  Thank you so much.  Bob Orleck
